The Springs Hotel, Waubra, Victoria

The settlement was originally known as "The Springs", hence the hotels name.

The first settler was Mr John Warne who established a pastoral run in 1857.

It was renamed Waubra in 1889.

The Pyrenees Hotel’ is an historic hotel in the historic township of Lexton. The Hotel was built in 1845, in the height of the gold rush. Lexton was at the crossroads of central Victoria on the main route to Sydney. The Lexton area was discovered by Major Thomas Mitchell in 1836.

 The historic two storey building was built with hand-made bricks, the front of the hotel is now rendered but the residence is in the original brick. The Hotel is at the gateway to the Pyrenees Ranges & the famous Pyrenees wineries.
